Gastroscopy
Involves the inspection of the

breoptic endoscope for the detection
of peptic ulcers, gastritis, polyps,
stomach cancer and presence of
bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori.

Colonoscopy
Colonoscopy is a procedure to
inspect the large bowel and small
bowel using a breoptic endoscope.
The scope is inserted through the
back passage and sedation is given
making it a very tolerable
procedure. Apart from visualizing
the colon for polyps and cancer it
allows sampling ( biopsy ) of
abnormal areas seen on the lining of
the bowel and removal of polyps
which prevents cancer. Colonoscopy
is recommended as a screening tool
for prevention of bowel cancer for
people over the age of 50.
