Treatment of Sweaty Palms

Non-Surgical Treatment

Medications
Sedatives and anticholinergics (medications that block the substances responsible for nervous system activity) are the common medications used.

Antiperspirants
Antiperspirants and deodorants are used on a daily basis to reduce underarm wetness and fight odour.

Botox
As used in treating wrinkles, Botox injections can be used to paralyse the sweat glands and the treatment is used especially to treat underarm hyperhidrosis.

Iontophoresis
This treatment uses low-intensity current to disrupt the function of the sweat glands.

  Surgical Treatment
The No Sweat 15 Minutes procedure is performed under general anaesthesia and two 5mm incisions are made on each side of the chest to allow access into the chest cavities. With the aid of a camera mounted on the thoracoscope, the sympathetic chains are visualized and duly divided or clipped at the level of the third and fourth thoracic vertebra. The results are usually instantaneous and the success rate is close to 100%.
